As your Galactic Starveyors were wowed in excitement from their journey through space with decorations and super excited volunteers today, we want to keep their focus on God’s Word throughout the week.

The universe is filled with many wonders. God created all of the universe. During this year's VBS we will learn about God and His wonderful plan for each of us.

Day 1 The Relationship Began

The Point: The God who created everything wants a relationship with us.

Genesis 1:1-2 – In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness covered the surface of the water depths, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the surface of the waters.

Genesis 1:26-31 – Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness. They will rule the fish of the sea, the birds of the sky, the livestock, all the earth, and the creatures that crawl on the earth.” So God created man in His own image; He created him in the image of God; He created them male and female. God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful, multiply, fill the earth, and subdue it. Rule the fish of the sea, the birds of the sky, and every creature that crawls on the earth.” God also said, “Look, I have given you every seed-bearing plant on the surface of the entire earth and every tree whose fruit contains seed. This food will be for you, for all the wildlife of the earth, for every bird of the sky, and for every creature that crawls on the earth — everything having the breath of life in it. I have given every green plant for food.” And it was so. God saw all that He had made, and it was very good. Evening came and then morning: the sixth day.

John 1:1 – In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

John 1:14 – The Word became flesh and took up residence among us. We observed His glory, the glory as the One and Only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.

The song we learned to continue teaching this truth was: Who We Are
